What personal projects have been keeping you busy recently?
I’ve been recording a comedy radio play about a couple who bring a giant whale lizard into their life, keeping the neighbours entertained I’m sure! Especially during the dramatic shouting scenes. I’ve also been making the most of being back in Wales by going for walks up the mountain.
Top 3 industry professionals you’d love a ‘Zoom chat’ with?
I would love to have a zoom chat with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Michaela Coel – two leading female voices in comedy drama at the moment. I would also love to talk to Ruth Jones and hear all about her writing process for Gavin & Stacey. I’m sure they’d all have interesting stories to share.
Dream Role(s)
I’m a sucker for period dramas and being able to play strong, troubled characters like Emma Bovary from Madame Bovary or Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones would be an absolute dream. I’d also love to tackle characters like Villanelle from Killing Eve. She’s such a complex character, I’d really enjoy exploring the many contrasting qualities of her personality.
